How To Get Motivated

Hey Guys!

I hope all of you had a great weekend! Ours was filled with a huge storm, a bit of top golf and a very delicious milkshake.

Unfortunately, like most of you, once the weekend starts winding down, I often find myself dreading Monday and the days that follow until Saturday. Today, I wanted to take a few minutes to let you know what I have found works best for me and share with you a few tips on how to get motivated!

Tip #1: Find a phrase or photo that inspires you and place it nearby your work-space.

At home, I have a picture frame that I change the picture in depending on my mood or the season. There is also a vase that I change the flowers in depending on the season. Along with that i have a cork-board behind my computer with pictures of people that I love.

Tip#2: Fun Office Supplies

I don’t know about you, but I have found that a majority of office supplies can be kind of boring. I myself, am a huge fan of colorful and fun office supplies! Luckily, I have a bit of leeway at work and am able to order fun folders and pens to use during my day to day job. At home, I love my collection of colorful washi tapes, mutli-colored pens and have a vast collection of post-it notes.

Tip #3: Watch a Movie That Motivates

While this one is going to be different for everyone, the two movies that motivate me most are… Legally Blonde and Monsters University. For some reason, watching either of these movies motivates me to work a little harder and get myself organized. Legally Blonde and Monsters University both inspires me to believe that I shouldn’t let anything stand in the way of my goals.

Tip# #4: Medals!

When it comes to fitness, there is one thing that makes me want to wake up early and get out the door to train, the promise of a fantastic medal at the finish line. My sisters and I are very excited to share with you what our upcoming races will be, be sure to check out that post on Wednesday!

Tip #5: Find People Who Inspire You

Once I started running, I began following new people on social media who motivated me to get up and chase my dreams. Even now, years later, seeing their blog posts or photo on social media makes me want to go the extra mile or put in a bit of overtime to achieve my goals.

I hope that all of you have a great Monday and a wonderful week!
