We hope you are all having a wonderful Shark Week so far! Today we thought we would share a recipe for a tasty treat to enjoy while watching all the new shows and old favorites. The treat is for Shark-Tastic Shark Fin Rice Krispy Treats.
You Will Need:
- 3 Tbsp Butter or Margarine
- 1 Package (10 oz.,about 40) JET-PUFFED Marshmallows
- OR 4 Cups JET-PUFFED Miniature Marshmallows
- 6 Cups Kellog’s Rice Krispies Cereal
To begin, in a large saucepan melt butter over low heat. Add marshmallows and stir until completely melted. Constantly stir, nothing worse than having to scrub off marshmallow remnants when you could be enjoying the treats. Then remove from heat and add Kellog’s Rice Krispies Cereal. Stir until well coated.
Then, using buttered spatula or wax paper evenly press mixture into well greased(with cooking spray) 13×9 inch pan.
While still warm but not super hot, don’t want to get burned, and cut into squares, whatever your size preference and shape into a shark fin, triangle shape and place on parchment paper lined cookie sheet.
Place in refrigerator to cool completely. While those cool, prepare melting chocolate as directed by package. We placed ours in open Ziploc bags and heated in 30 second increments, once it is completely melted we closed up the bags and cut off a small corner to drizzle more evenly over the treats. We used two different colors of blue, and drizzled over the fins and then sprinkled with assorted round sprinkles that look like bubbles.
Once decorated, place back in refrigerator to let the chocolate cool, once set. Present however you want and enjoy!
