Keep Calm It’s Friday – Friday Favorites: Relaxation Edition!

Happy Friday everyone! We thought we would continue our theme of keep calm/relation on to Friday favorites! This week we will be sharing with you, our favorite things that help us relax so maybe they can help you too!

  1. Cinnamon Pecan Buns Candle

When buying candles, don’t forget that it’s never too early to burn fall scented candles. We all have one of these candles and we bought them for $2.50 each from Michael’s. They are usually $5.99 but they were $2.50 on sale and if you have the Michael’s rewards or a receipt from your last purchase you get 50% or 40% off of any regular price item! We were skeptical about Ashland candles at first but they smell amazing and for $2.50 you can’t beat it.  We weren’t wild about the other scents but Cinnamon Pecan Buns is actually a really cozy and nice smelling candle. To our surprise these candles last a pretty long time and they are pretty strong when lit.  Not as good as Yankee Candle but definitely more cost-friendly!

2. Fuzzy Socks/ Slippers

Nuff said… just kidding but you can’t go wrong with some cozy fuzzy socks and plushy slippers. Socks and slippers are perfect for just relaxing around the house and they can also be cute! Cierra has a pretty big collection of fuzzy socks so she can’t choose a favorite, Sydnee has some from PINK fuzzy socks and they’re Christmas but as long as her feet are happy, and Lindsey has some Minnie Mouse heel slippers that she slips on when she gets home from work making the transition between her Lauren Conrad heels to these much more comfortable ones.

3. Chocolate Covered Espresso Beans

We all just recently tried these small but scrumptious treats. They’re simple in the way that they are what they are, espresso beans covered in chocolate. They taste like a mixture of coffee and chocolate I mean how can you go wrong?! These sweet little beans are perfect when you have a chocolatey craving but you aren’t necessarily hungry.

4. Pinterest

Pinterest is the ultimate site that has everything… ok maybe not everything but pinning aesthetically pleasing pictures, DIYs, tips, recipes, etc…. Is probably the best way to relax after a long day. Pinterest, though a social media, is probably the least stress inducing one that doesn’t ever make you mad! Give our Pinterest a follow if you haven’t already!

5. Pets

I guess not the most accessible thing for some people but pets are great for easing everyday anxiety. Cats, dogs, lizards, basically any animal will do but giving them a cuddle or having a “conversation” with them after getting home from work or school immediately puts you in a better mood. We have two dogs and three cats so we’re good in the pet department.
