What We’re Thinking About Wednesday

Hey Everyone!

We hope your week is going well so far! This week is focused on school/essentials, planning, etc. So today we decided to break it up and make today about Shark Week. It’s always sad when Shark Week comes to an end but we do dvr the shows, so we can keep enjoying them. We will be sharing what we thought about each of the new shows that aired during Shark Week. So here we go:

1.jpg  Great White Shark Serial Killer Lives (Picture from msn.com)

There is not enough money in the world to get us on a little dock teasing a shark and putting our hands anywhere near a sharks mouth.

2.jpg Phelps Vs. Shark: The Battle For Ocean Supremacy (Picture from discovery.uk)

We were rooting for Michael Phelps but a two second difference is incredible.

3 Shark- Croc Showdown (Picture from moviefone.com)

Interesting theories but in our opinion there’s just a little too much “eating” of cute things being shown.

4Great Hammerhead Invasion (Picture from facebook.com)

Pretty cool but not really convinced.

5.jpg Shark Vortex (Picture from une.edu)

We love any show with Dr. Greg Skomal.

6  Return the the Isle of Jaws (Picture from Radiotimes.com)

Andy Casa Grande + Paul De Gelder = Epic.

7  Alien Sharks: Stranger Fins (Picture from moviefone.com)

It’s always crazy to see sharks that were thought to be extinct or didn’t know of their existence.

8 Sharks and the City: LA (Picture from spacecoastdaily.com)

Very cool but also scary because we visit these places often.

9 Sharks and The City: New York (Picture from youtube.com)

When you think of sharks, you don’t really think of New York.

10.jpg The Lost Cage (Picture from youtube.com)

Pretty Awesome.

11 Devil Sharks (Picture from youtube.com)

Volcanoes and sharks, I mean….come on…. that’s awesome!

12 Shark Exile (Picture from sealightpictures.com)

It will be interesting to see if the technique continue to be successful.

13 Shark Storm (Picture from npr.org)

Pretty cool to see all of the species of sharks coexisting so closely to each other.

14 African Shark Safari (Picture from sdlexpeditions.com)

The dives are beautiful but terrifying.

15 Lair of the Sawfish (Picture from dstv.com)

Pretty incredible fish.

16 Shark Mania (Picture from writtalin.com)

This show is pretty much a recap of all the epic moments from Shark Week 2017.

17 Shark School with Michael Phelps (Picture from quettaweb.com)

This would be an amazing school to attend.

We would love to hear your thoughts! Have a great day!

Hello Everyone!

We hope you are all having a wonderful week so far! Today we thought we would share a recipe for a delicious drink to enjoy while watching Shark Week. The drink is called strawberry party punch but we just had to make it sharky!

You will need:

  •  3 oz. Pkg. Strawberry flavor gelatin
  • 1 Cup Boiling water
  • 2 (6-oz.) Cans frozen pink lemonade concentrate, thawed
  • 6-oz. Can frozen orange juice concentrate, thawed

Dissolve gelatin in boiling water; cool. In large punch bowl, combine gelatin mixture, lemonade concentrate, orange juice concentrate and cold water; refrigerate. Just before serving, gently stir in ginger ale and frozen strawberries.

Tasty Tuesday

Hello Everyone!

We hope you are all having a wonderful Shark Week so far! Today we thought we would share a recipe for a tasty treat to enjoy while watching all the new shows and old favorites. The treat is for Shark-Tastic Shark Fin Rice Krispy Treats.

You Will Need:

  • 3 Tbsp Butter or Margarine
  • 1 Package (10 oz.,about 40) JET-PUFFED Marshmallows
  • OR 4 Cups JET-PUFFED Miniature Marshmallows
  • 6 Cups Kellog’s Rice Krispies Cereal

To begin, in a large saucepan melt butter over low heat. Add marshmallows and stir until completely melted. Constantly stir, nothing worse than having to scrub off marshmallow remnants when you could be enjoying the treats.  Then remove from heat and add Kellog’s Rice Krispies Cereal. Stir until well coated.

Then, using buttered spatula or wax paper evenly press mixture into well greased(with cooking spray) 13×9 inch pan.

While still warm but not super hot, don’t want to get burned, and cut into squares, whatever your size preference and shape into a shark fin, triangle shape and place on parchment paper lined cookie sheet.

Place in refrigerator to cool completely. While those cool, prepare melting chocolate as directed by package. We placed ours in open Ziploc bags and heated in 30 second increments, once it is completely melted we closed up the bags and cut off a small corner to drizzle more evenly over the treats. We used two different colors of blue, and drizzled over the fins and then sprinkled with assorted round sprinkles that look like bubbles.

Once decorated, place back in refrigerator to let the chocolate cool, once set. Present however you want and enjoy!

Have a sharky day!
