Friday Favorites- Disney Edition

Happy Friday!!

I don’t know about you guys but for us this week lasted forever!

Today, we are going to share with you some of our Disney favorites.

Our first favorite is Alex and Ani bracelets. With each one of us owning just one or two to begin with, you’d think our collection was complete…However, with new designs being released every few months, our collections might never be complete! Between the three of us, we own 16 bracelets and 1 necklace! Seeing everyone’s photos on Instagram always inspires us to want just one more. How many do you own?

Our second favorite is Disney Dooney and Bourke purses and wristlets! While Sydnee is able to resist the temptation of the purses, Cierra and Lindsey have quite the variety of designs.

Our third favorite is Starbucks and Disney! Our Frappuccinos always seem to taste a little sweeter when we have a view of the castle. Our visits during the holiday seasons are never complete without a pumpkin frapp or latte or a peppermint hot chocolate.

Our fourth favorite is  our Monsters University Hats. You might see these pop up frequently on social media during our visits to Disneyland. They keep the sun out of our faces and look adorable on! We are also proud to support Monsters University and would happily attend if we could!

Our fifth favorite is Disney Waffles. I am not sure what it is about Disney themed foods, they just taste a little better. Our two favorites are- Mickey Waffles and the Cars Waffles. The Mickey Waffles can be found at a variety of locations throughout the Disney Parks. The Cars themed waffles can be found at Flo’s V8 Café in Cars Land. Sydnee wants it noted that the waffles at Flo’s are some of the softest waffles that she has ever enjoyed. The texture is delicious and the syrup adds that little extra sweetness making it an experience that will fuel you up for a long day at the parks.

FastPass Friday!

Hey Everyone,

As we bring this week to a close the three of us are wishing we were heading to Disneyland again this week. Today, we wanted to share with you our review of the new FastPass system at Disneyland and California Adventure.

Though we were excited that Disney added FastPasses for Matterhorn Bobsleds and Toy Story Midway Mania, we will admit that we were a bit bummed when they started making changes to the FastPass system and we were definitely curious what that would mean for all of us moving forward.

With Walt Disney World utilizing the Magic Band to store all of their tickets as well as their FastPasses, it looks like Disneyland/ California Adventure may just be heading that direction.

The first big change that has taken place is that your FastPass is now stored directly on your Annual Pass, Single, or Multi-Day Ticket. You will still receive a paper print out but this is simply to remind you when your FastPass is available to use.

Once you have obtained your FastPass, you will not be able to add another FastPass to your que until the time it states on your FastPass.

Once the time has come, you will proceed to the FastPass entrance of your chosen ride and scan your ticket, once the light turns green, you’re ready to go. Be sure to keep your ticket out as you will need to scan it one more time towards the end of the line.

In addition to the FastPass being stored on your ticket or Annual Passport, Disney will launch MaxPass at Disneyland resort July 19th. Disney MaxPass can be accessed through the Disneyland App, this app inclusion allows unlimited Disney Photo Pass downloads and the ability to book and redeem Fast Passes on your mobile device. While the Disneyland app is free, MaxPass starts at $10 a day. You can buy MaxPass with your ticket or through the app once you’ve enter Disneyland or Disney’s California Adventure. Annual Pass holders have the option of purchasing MaxPass as a lifetime commitment for $75. If you have a signature plus passport you get MaxPass for no added cost.

I will say that it takes a bit of getting used to but the line was definitely shorter and we were able to get a lot more FastPasses with them on our Annual Passes than with the previous system. As for MaxPass, we will have to try it out next time we go! We are excited about the changes and we hope that having these two new ways to obtain and redeem FastPasses will increase the amount of rides we go on and therefore increase the amount of fun we have! (If that’s even possible)

These are the rides which we were able to utilize the new FastPass System:

  • The Haunted Mansion (Twice)
  • Buzz Light-year Astro Blasters
  • Indiana Jones Adventure
  • Big Thunder Mountain
  • Radiator Springs Racers
  • Star Tours

We definitely give this new system two (or three?) thumbs up! We’ll see if we can say the same about MaxPass!

We hope you enjoyed our review! Have you gotten a chance to try out the new FastPass system? If so, let us know what you thought about it in the comments!

Have a great weekend!
